Mary LaRue, director of Noonday Christian
Academy, retired from the Cobb County public school system in 2001 with 31 years of elementary teaching experience. She taught
one year at the Academy before becoming director in 2002. Mary has a master's degree in Early Childhood Education.
Mary has been a long-time member of Noonday Baptist Church.
Having grown up in Cobb and Cherokee counties, she attended Noonday as a child. She and her husband of 35 years, John,
attended another church after getting married, but returned to Noonday in 1980. She has seen the church grow in it's committment
to both the community and the Academy. Mary has one daughter and son-in-law, three grandchildren,
and one son and daughter-in-law.
